Goodbye To An Old Friend
Today, after 27 years, Internet Explorer has been officially retired as a browser on all Windows Systems. The new sheriff in town is Microsoft Edge. If you try to reach the internet using Internet Explorer you will get an announcement that the website will not work with the browser:

And you will be automatically be redirected to the site using Microsoft Edge.
Nowadays we have many browser options like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple’s Safari, and they all work fine… until you had that specific/old website that was specially designed to open on Internet Explorer and have to be working on different browsers all the time.
The good think is that Edge actually has a built -in “Internet Explorer” mode and more importantly, is now more secure. Most of the modern browsers now have integrated “legacy” compatibility so you should not have an issue.
For those of us that started surfing the web with dialup in the late 90’s early 2000’s and only had an option to use Internet Explorer or Netscape (RIP 2008) it’s kind of sad to say goodbye, but to be honest the new browsers are safer and faster.
